I am a developer who has 'inherited' a website that can generate excel files (both .xls and .xlsx). While the site works fine for .xls files, one of my end users is having issues opening the .xlsx files.
The thing is, my computer has no trouble opening the .xlsx files. They are corrupted when they are generated, sure, but my excel can repair them on opening them for the first time, no problem. Meanwhile, my end user's excel cannot open them at all.
Things I have done to try and correct this:
-Had her update to the latest version of excel
-Did a cursory comparison of our excel settings.
However, I don't really know enough about excel 2016 as a program to figure out whats going on. Can anyone help me out? I'll provide more specific info if needed.
