Unable to set and release filtering.

I'm not sure what may have changed, or what I may have done to cause it, but all was fine until maybe a couple months ago.

Now, I can set filters in any given workbook, new or otherwise, but once set I cannot release or changed them.  It is permanent! The funnel appears as active and I am aware that it won't work if you have multiple tabs selected, which is not the case.

Anyone know what is causing this?

Hi @Ddubya,

I am assuming that the filters were applied to an excel formatted table, try clicking anywhere in the table then click Data ribbon and see if you can release the filters.
