Unable to mail large excel file in outlook - how can I make it smaller

Copper Contributor

Hi!

I have an excel workbook that is apparently too large for my outlook email to send.  I understand I can reduce it by making it a binary file, BUT

Will my formulas be saved in the file

What happens at the other end for the person who receives my file - do they need to save it as an Xls file to use it?  Will it be the same file I have at my end?

Thank you for any help you can give me!

Greta

Solution
Upload it to onedrive (or something like google drive) and share instead the link. The inbox of the other person will thank you.

[For these purposes I have a decicated folder /public under which I add folders and share permission so that no matter what, I only share this folder and below with other people.]
thanks Nicole I appreciate your help! Great idea :)
