I am attempting to use a workbook from a grad school finance course where the professor put his research into some of the macros. The workbook was enabled during the class, but, if I try to access the data after the class I receive the attached error message.
I have no issue with the macros being disabled, however, I would like to have the structure of the workbook in place to try to recreate some of the macros on my own. The error message recommends a method to open the workbook with the macros disabled, however, anytime I exit the error message the workbook immediately shifts into a blank workbook with nothing included.
Is there a way to disable the macros in the workbook via my file explorer on Windows before opening the workbook so I do not lose all the structure of the workbook?

These recommendations are appreciated but do not quite fit the requirements. The entire workbook I am attempting to use is locked. These resources apply more to specific aspects of an individual sheet that may be locked.
