Unable to add bullet points in excel

Hi

I am unable to add bullet point in excel using the shortcut key Alt + 7 or Alt + fn + 7. Please help me sort this problem. Just FYI, I don't have numeric keyboard.

Alt+7 doesn't work on my computer as well. Don't know what exactly prevents to use it, most probably some software installed takes this combination first. Alt+0149 works, it's enough. 

You mention Alt + fn + 7. Such combinations (Alt+number) work only with NumPad, Fn key shall not matter for it.
