Two spreedsheets vlookup?

I have two spreadsheets with ID# in both. I'd like to match the ID #'s, pull information from another cell in spreadsheet a into a column in spreadsheet b. I am not sure if vlookup is best to insure accuracy. Sample formulas would helpful. Thanks

Best or worst depends on goals. In most cases best is the function with which your are most familiar and which is easier for you in maintenance. For really big sheets you may consider performance as a main point. It could be another criteria, mainly in maintenance area  - with whom you share your workbook, how often you change data structure, etc.

I personally prefer INDEX/MATCH, but VLOOKUP shall be fine as well.
