Two-line graph

Copper Contributor

I created line graphs for mean annual temperatures over two 36-year periods, but would like to combine the two lines (in different colors) on a single graph. The x-axis (years) can remain blank: I'll explain in a caption. The y-axis (Degrees Fahrenheit) needs a range of 42-58.

I use Excel for Mac version 16.56, MacOS Big Sur version 11.6.

@GGuderian Perhaps something like in the attached workbook?

Perfect! Thanks, @Riny_van_Eekelen

This is the kind of line graph I want to create, but with different data. How do you do this within Excel? I need to put 4 lines on the graph to show how percentages changed (y-axis) over a three year time period (x-axis) within 4 separate groups.

@Carpacus If you follow the example in the file I uploaded earlier, create four columns with data and select the whole range, inclusive row and column headers. On the insert ribbon, select the line-chart type and all should come up automatically. If not, perhaps you can upload or share your file (OneDrive, Dropbox or something similar).

Thank you! That helped - it appears to have worked mostly the way I wanted.
