Turning on and off Auto Complete

I'm trying to turn off Auto Complete for a project. The instructions are click "File" then "Options", and I should see "Advanced" and then be able to uncheck Auto Complete. When I click "Options", the only choice I get is "Regional Format Settings", not "Advanced". I'm using Windows 10. Thank you.

File > Options > Advanced is available in Excel for Windows. The equivalent in macOS is Excel > Preferences.

What you describe is Options in Excel Online (the browser version); this is much more limited.
