Summarize a table of data

I have a complete table with  a large number of options, brand, price cost etc.

The sales people go down this list and populate quantities purchased.

 

I would like this information to summarized on another sheet which would then just show only the items that had quantities placed against each specific line.

 

Can this be done using pivot tables or does it require a macro.  Anyone know of examples I could copy.

Pivot Tables pretty much create themselves. If you've never used one, play around with it on your own. It should indeed do what you're asking.

 

There are YouTube videos that can help you get started, but basically you highlight the data tables (including the headings) and click on Insert....Pivot Table and follow the prompts.  You're not going to break anything in the process, and you'll learn how. Create a safe copy of your data if you're worried about changes....
