Suddenly lost fill handle - All settings are correct, stumped.

As the title suggests, I suddenly lost the ability to drag fill.  When I click on a cell and hover over the corner, the large white + remains the same and does not change to the smaller black drag fill +.  I have already checked that auto calculations is set and have already checked the advanced options to double check fill handle is enabled.  Anyone ever encounter this?

Is the worksheet protected by any chance? Or is "Enable fill hanle and cell drag and drop" disabled in settings, Advanced tab?

It's unprotected and I have enable fill handled checked in advanced settings.
