SPILL Erorr causing all kinds of errors

Copper Contributor

I'm creating a basic Excel doc to track some gift card balances, and in the first sheet I have the total with a formula to subtract deductions on another sheet from the total. When I do this in the first row, it creates the SPILL formula, and I can't edit, nor do I want it there. How do I remove this?

If I can't remove this, how do I get the next row to be a different dataset?!

I would suggest including the formula you are using (perhaps the workbook itself with any/all sensitive information removed or, if possible, an example of your workbook and formula using mock data).

I don't have dynamic arrays and don't expect to be able to help you find the issue, but you can assist the other respondents in providing a specific answer with more information that is specific to your situation.
