Speak Cells

I turned on Speak Cells in Microsoft Excel but now I cannot remove. I removed the command from the toolbar. Any ideas?

Press Alt+F11 to activate the Visual Basic Editor.

Press Ctrl+G to activate the Immediate window.

Type or copy/paste the line

Application.Speech.SpeakCellOnEnter = False

With the insertion point anywhere in that line, press Enter.

Switch back to Excel.

Did that solve the problem?

I had the same problem. I tried your suggestion. it now toggles, but instead of speaking on enter, it will only read out loud the series of cells I highligbhted

I'm afraid I cannot reproduce that.

Hi all, thanks for helping out here. I found a solution (or my IT bods did at work). There is a command called Speak Cells On Enter. The problem is I couldn't find this in All Commands. So when in Excel I simply used the Search Box on the Excel Bar above the Menu bar and typed in Speak Cells on Enter. I then right clicked on this to add to toolbar. You need to use this to toggle on and off.

I am currently using Macbook Air 2020 and I cannot find it anywhere. Even though I have done every solutions I read!
