15 different workbooks saved in a common folder, some contain data and some doesn't. I hope to run a macro to determine which file contains data and which doesn't. Information will be input into a master data list. But I'm not sure what macro to use. Please help. Thank you.

@snowiiy , Sounds like something Power Query will be able to handle if the data source files are formatted alike. Click on Data->Get Data->From File->From Folder to get started:
