Sorting "odd" numbers

Copper Contributor

Hi!

I have a meeting document were I numbered every point in the meeting with a number constructed lika ex, 1.2.3

Were the first number is the subject,

the second number is the "meeting number" ex, meeting number 2

the third number is the specific pointnumber.

But the problem is when i try to sort this in number or alphabetic order. Then ex 10.2.3 gets above 2.1.3 . I guess its becaus its not a real "number".

Do anyone have a good ide how to number it so i keep my ide om numbering, but can sort all the post according to the "right" order when 1-9 get before 10 etc?

Add 2 zeros 0 at the beginning of the single digit numbers

002.001.003
010.020.100
