Sort button not working

No matter whatever excel I open, nothing happens upon clicking SORT button. Filter and all other buttons work fine. Even a smallest excel to large excel, Sort button does not open up the popup to provide Sort Range etc. I don't know if there is some settings or some Add-ins that is causing this issue.

Does you create this file or you got it from someone else?

I might be protected against sorting, you can check that by right click on any worksheet --> Protect sheet --> check the option sort if it is selected or not
