Slow macros when folder is synchronized with OneDrive

Copper Contributor

Hi Everyone,

I have the following issue.

If I run a macro on an Excel file whose location is NOT in a folder synchronized with OneDrive, it runs fast, as expected (a second or two).  If I take that same file and save it in a folder that IS synchronized with OneDrive, it runs significantly slower, say ten times slower (a few seconds vs. a minute).

Any known issues, workarounds or suggestions?

Many thanks,

R

What happens when you pause OneDrive and then run your macro?

I can't seem to reproduce the "fast/normal" macro execution any more.  I have tried uninstalling OneDrive, so something else is at work.

Regardless, any suggestions of what may be going on, or where to look are very appreciated.
