Hello,
So I have not used excel in a very long time.
I'm trying to do some simple adding without having to input the whole selection but by selecting cells.
What I want to do :
If I have multiple cells and I want to add them up to another in 1 cell in 1 go. How can I fast select these cells with having to put + in between every cell while manually to select them.
So instead of =A1+A2+A3+A4+A5+A6
Just select A1 with the mouse put a + and than select A2 with the mouse and while holding the mouse select all the other cells that need to be added.
I don't get what I do wrong, I always get a value error
This is how it looks like : =A1+A2:A11

SolutionHi @Sebastian1987,
How about =SUM(A1:A6)
You can click on the SUM button in the ribbon then select the range with your mouse, or simply type in the =SUM(A1:A6) formula.
