I am trying to have 1 cell in a worksheet change from green to red is sheet is protected or not.

Can this be done with conditional formatting or a macro?

Thank you for that information. I believe I found that in a search.

I didn't have much luck with that, probably because I don't know how to create a user defined 'function'.

If you have any tips on that, I would grateful.
