Schedule Times to Sum the Hours Scheduled

I'm trying to create a schedule that calculates  the # of hours for each day and totals the hours in a column.  Hope you can see the attached link.

I'm trying to get the total hours minus 1/2 hour each day worked to get the sum in column P

I see no link. I prefer you attach your sample file with given data and desired results.

I think I've got what I need except now I need to convert hours and minutes to a decimal:
Example: 9 hours 30 minutes to 9.5. or 9 hours 15 minutes to 9.25

Multiply the time by 24, then format the result as General or Number.
