Saved documents not loading up as it was saved before

I have Two Excel documents that I have all my 2020 transactions on.  I have been adjusting and categorizing everything for the year.  I have manually saved, closed and re-opened these documents before with out an issue.  Today after I made a couple last changes and saved them, I tried to reopen and the format was completely off before I saved it and closed the document.  On my other one with my Business transactions it completely deleted all 557 lines of items except the title of the Page.  Has any one else experienced this kind of issue before and is there a way to retreive old saved documents before auto save was issued???

If you accidentally deleted your Excel files on Windows, you can recover them by pressing Ctrl + Z keys. Right-click on your Windows monitor. Press the Undo Delete (Ctrl + Z) option to recover deleted Excel files.


Excel files when they are not in the trash?
Try it with:
Open your Excel file.
Tap "File"
From the File menu, choose Open
In the lower area of the opened window you will find the option ”Restore unsaved workbooks”. Click this option.
