Sales reports

My boss gave me a project to do and I'm not too sure how to get it lined up.  He wants totals and averages within a dashboard that includes sales and number of orders per month per year.  I can get July laid out but he wants a running total also for August.  I don't want to add endless columns to the sheet because that defeats the dashboard sheet.  I tried working with a pivot table and I don't believe it would be right for him.  He doesn't want to have to click here and there.  Just look at the numbers.  Anyone offer some suggestions?

@Bryan1910 use a macro with pivot table, he wont need to click too much

@Ramiz_Assaf The more I'm learning about Pivot tables, I do believe that is what I am going to use.  I am liking the dashboard view with slicers.  He will just have to get used to them.  Thanks for the reply.
