I have a requirement to provide some kind of a dash board or gantt type 'master calendar' that can be used as a quick glance to see the schedules of all the business sub-units. The data is setup so that each business sub-unit has their own excel sheet within one workbook where each business sub-unit has their respective tasks arrayed along a 'horse blanket' calendar. I would like to create a 'master horse blanket' where each sub-units tasks are visible on a single sheet for quick reference for management. I'm thinking this way management can see how resources are deployed against a specific task on each day of the FY at a quick glance. I'm fairly certain this can be done in excel but I'm struggling with finding an example that I can work from. Does anyone have advice on how I might be able to do this or correct my vision of how I might do something like this? Thanks.
