Replacing Line Feeds in Cells

Copper Contributor

I have been struggling with accomplishing something ever so easy in Word and other applications like Apple Numbers.

I have a huge spreadsheet over 800 pages long and most of the length is the result of hundreds of Line Feeds within CELLS.

No matter what I try I cannot find or replace Line Feeds in Cells.  Even inserting a UNICODE Special Value from the MAC Character map fails.  MS Support spent a fruitless hour walking me through some of the worst directions ever.  Please help.

@Ilookmarvlus All the tutorials you find on-line speak of using Find & Replace and then find Ctrl-J and replace it with a space. But, unfortunately that doesn't work in Excel for the Mac.

The easiest way to address this is to use a separate column and the SUBSTITUTE function as demonstrated in the picture below.

Copy it down, copy and paste values from column B on top of itself and delete column A.
