While there is no guarantee of complete data recovery, there are a few steps you can take to attempt to repair the corrupted workbook on your Mac Pro.

Here are some suggestions:

  1. Open Excel in Safe Mode: Try opening Excel in Safe Mode, which disables certain features and settings that could be causing issues. To do this, follow these steps:
    • Quit Excel if it is already open.
    • Hold down the Option key on your keyboard and launch Excel.
    • Choose "Open" from the dialog box that appears.
    • Browse to the location of the corrupted workbook and try opening it.
  2. Open with a Different Application: If Excel is unable to open the corrupted workbook, you can try opening it with a different application that supports Excel files. One such application is LibreOffice Calc, which is a free alternative to Excel. It may have a better chance of recovering the data from the corrupted workbook.
  3. Use Microsoft AutoRecover: Excel has an AutoRecover feature that automatically saves temporary versions of your workbooks. To access AutoRecover files, follow these steps:
    • Open Excel and go to the "Excel" menu at the top of the screen.
    • Choose "Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
    • In the Preferences window, click on the "Save" icon.
    • Note the AutoRecover file location mentioned under "Save Excel files" or "AutoRecover file location".
    • Browse to that location in Finder and look for any files that match the name or contents of your corrupted workbook.
    • Try opening the recovered file.
  4. Try Third-Party Repair Tools: There are third-party tools available that specialize in repairing corrupted Excel files. These tools may have a higher chance of recovering your data. Some popular options for Mac include DataNumen Excel Repair and Stellar Repair for Excel. Make sure to research and choose a reputable tool from a trusted source.
  5. Contact Microsoft Support: If none of the above steps work, you can reach out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They may have additional troubleshooting steps or suggestions specific to your situation.

Remember, it is always recommended to have regular backups of your important files. If you do not have a recent backup, consider implementing a backup system for your future files to avoid data loss in similar situations.Since no one has answered it for at least one day or more, I entered your question in various AI.
