"dynamic" path using get data.

Steel Contributor

Hi,

Scenario.

Multiple Excel files stored in SharePoint.

Using Get data to make a report. From Fil, From folder (SharePoint is not an option in my Excel)

Problem, the source path is locked to my User: C:\Users\Geir Hogstad\ So other users receiev error when they update.

Is is possible to make the path "universal" so every users with access to the Sharepoint site can update?

Best Regards

- Geir

Hi @Geir Hogstad

  1. I have doubt that you might not using the correct Excel version, check the below link details versions of Excel which include the Get & Transform. Where is Get & Transform (Power Query) - Excel (microsoft.com)
  2. Yes, It is possible to make universal path (subject you have correct Excel version) and you can keep the data on the SharePoint so everyone can easily access, Infact it is a recommend solution.

Thank you @Faraz Shaikh I have the Office 365 Bussiness Standard edition.

I think SharePoint option is "From Online Services" under the Get-menue. And its not an option.
