Hello Everyone,
How do I find and replace a set of texts to a specific text?
I am working on a set of data, and I want to focus on a group of personnel, regardless of their ranking.
Example:
I have "Engineer", "Engineer Grade 2", "Senior Engineer", "Mechanical Engineer", "Snr Engineer Grade 1", "Snr Engineer Grade 2" etc
The word "engineer" can be found either front, mid or end of the designation.
And ultimately, I would like to replace all the above to just "ENGINEER"
Is there a quick and fast way around this?
So, what should i do with the help of FIND AND REPLACE command OR with the help of FORMULA?
Please help..??

SolutionSelect column B.
Press Ctrl+H to activate the Replace dialog.
In the 'Find what' box, enter *Engineer* (see remark below).
In the 'Replace box', enter ENGINEER
Click 'Replace All'.
Remark: in your sample workbook, you have Enginner instead of Engineer, so you'd have to use *Enginner*
