Protecting worksheet not allowing me as owner to make changes

Not sure if is supposed to work this way. I thought I was protecting from other users not from the owner. Am I missing something?

You have to unprotect the sheet if you want to edit locked cells, then protect it again afterwards.

Thank you. I need to share the workbook with others and be able to update and let them view live. ANy tips?

Instead of Protect Sheet, click Allow Edit Ranges:
