Hello.
Could you please explain how can I protect MS Excel (Office 365) file with password so that it offers 2 options:
1) open and edit file after entering the password
2) open file in read-only mode without entering the password.
I would be obliged for help.

SolutionPress F12 to activate the Save As dialog.
Click on the Tools menu to the left of the Save button.
Select 'General Options...'.
Leave the 'Password to open' box empty, and enter a password in the 'Password to modify' box.
Don't forget this password!
Tick the check box 'Read-only recommended'.
Click OK.
You will have to enter the password again as confirmation.
Save the workbook.
