I have a worksheet that has some columns that users need to be able to enter/change data and other columns with formulas that need to be protected. I need the user to be able to sort and filter on the columns. I thought I had it figured out by using data validation with an error message. that seems to prevent typing over the information in the locked cell. But, I am still able to copy and paste in the locked cell. I unlocked all cells, selected the formula cells, used data validation unchecking the in-cell dropdown and set the error alert to STOP with an error message, locked the formula cells, and under Protect sheet I have checked Select locked cells, Select unlocked cells, sort, and Use auto filter. this seems to do everything I need EXCEPT prevent pasting into a locked cell. Any suggestions?
