I have a fairly simple sheet that has 12 scroll bars for users to control - but however I try to leave them operative whenI protect the sheet or the work book, nothing works. It works if I protect the sheet up to the scroll bars but not if I include them, leaving cells past them unprotected. I've tried creating an 'island' of unprotected cells around the scroll bar but that doesn't work either - the scroll bars remain inoperative with the message that I'm trying to access protect cells if I try to change them. And I HAVE unchecked the 'Locked' selector in the Scroll bar format box.
I'm on a Mac, OSX 10.14.4 Office 365.
I will appreciate any advice on how to get around the problem!
