# Priority formula

Hi,

I want to know if there and how we can use priority in a excel formula. I need to ask first to find the Day text in a cell from a date ex: Monday 4/15/2019, than with that name add a condition IF, so this will make IF Monday, display Lundi, and after that using a Index/Match formula to look into another sheet and show the Opening time from that answer. ex: Lundi = 9h - 15h. so is it possible to make the thing working in this order or not? can we make Excel looking thing be step in one formula or make a result to one cell and combine the answer with the other question etc.

Hi,

I guess everything could be done with one formula, however quite often it's worth to use helper tables/columns - easier with maintenance and you always may check intermediate results.

OK thank for the answer, as I just start learning excel, I will look what that is and how to use that option. if you say that will be better and faster, then I will move that way.
