Pivot Tables

I am very new to excel and some how in the process of creating a pivot table duplicated data on my spreadsheet, is there a way to undo this? Will the data that was there previously before the duplication be there?

Hard to give a good answer without a lot more information.

There IS (as with many kinds of software) an Edit....Undo menu item. However, that usually works best immediately after the action you seek to undo.

• Beyond that,
  • What's the nature of the duplication?
    • were all of the rows duplicated, in their entirety, at the bottom of the previously existing rows
    • were all of the columns duplicated, in their entirety, to the right of the previously existing columns
    • or some other form of duplication
