I am new to pivot tables. I just created one. Whenever I open it I get an error message, something like, "missing link." My pivot table is based on the Data tab. I enter the trip data in the Trip Data tab. I then copy that data into the Data tab for each name associated with that trip. I don't know why I am getting the error message for one particular trip. My goal at this point is to get a count of the number of trips each member has taken, sorted high to low. I thought I had it done but I can't update my pivot table with the new data I've added.

The workbook contained links to two other workbooks. You can break the links in File > Info > Edit Links to Files.

Thank you, that solved the problem. Not sure what I did to create those links but the table is now working.
