Pause an executing macro

Can anyone tell me how to stop a macro that is running in Excel for Mac? In the previous version (Excel for Mac 2011) from 2011 all you had to do was hit "⌘" and "." (Command+Full Stop) simultaneously, but that doesn't work in the latest version (Microsoft 365 for Mac). In Windows all you have to do is hit escape twice!

Hi, try one of these:
Cmd + Option + Esc
Ctrl + Esc

Thanks for trying to help, but Cmd + Option + Esc takes me to the force quit window and Ctrl + Esc doesn't appear to do anything at all!

It's still a mystery...
