Pasting a selection of cells into another cell's note won't work - Excel 2020 for Mac

Hello, 

Since I upgraded to Excel 2020 for OSX Excel wont let me do a very basic operation which is copying multiple cells (say, by dragging 3 cells) and then paste the three cells copied as text  into another cell' note.  I was able to do it in office 2015.  Not sure why this is unavailable now.  I using version 16.34 on OSX 10.14.5 Mojave.  I assume there must be a basic setting I might be missing? But can't find it.

As you rightly said it might be be a basic setting, please check the keyboard settings in settings panel

Copy = cmd + c & paste = cmd + v
