Greetings! It's my first post. Is there any publicly available data on organizations already using digital signatures for VBA macros as part of their IT security policy?
I develop macro-based reports for a company that serves regulated industries, and there has been a recent trend of regulators imposing a complete ban on macro-enabled reports due to security concerns. That means literally that .xlsm files are forbidden, and only .xlsx files allowed.
I need to persuade the client and regulator that they should instead use digital signatures and identifying Trusted Publishers, so having some recognized names who already use this approach would help me make my case. If there's a better place for me to ask this type of question, please let me know. Thanks!
