every time I enter a number into a cell, it takes the last digit and turns it into a zero. I've tried all the formats.  I just need to enter a string of numbers without having the last digit be 0.

Hi

The maximum number of digits allowed in a single cell is 15 digits

Since I do not see a sample file with your question, may be the situation is you went beyond the allowed number of digits.

Otherwise,

A Custom number format may be created to fix the issue or maybe in some cases (Like Credit Card Numbers) we may format the cell as Text, so long as you are not going to use it in performing calculations
