New text typed automatically starts at end of existing text already in cell.

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I have some cells that already have random text in them. For a number of these, I need to randomly add more text, to the end of the existing text that's already in the cell. And I do this now by, selecting the cell, and then clicking at the end of the existing text, and then typing the new text. Is there a shortcut key that would automatically move the cursor, to the end of the existing text, so the first key I type, starts at the end of the existing text?

@IM14MUSIC You may use the F2 key.

You can try to move to the cell with the mouse and then click F2. The cursor will be at the last position of the text in the selected cell.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for the quick response.
