New EXCEL 2019 on new PC is slow

Copper Contributor

I just build a new Windows 10 Gaming Computer and I installed Office Home & Business 2019 on it.

All the apps work great except for EXCEL.  When I try to open it (not even opening a file) it takes about 1 minute to open.  If I click on anything it takes about 30 seconds to register that I've pressed anything.  Eventually, it just lags out and I have to close it using Task Manager.

I've tried everything from this site "Excel not responding", but nothing worked.

In addition, I tried reinstalling Windows 10 and also installed EXCEL 2016, and that was slow as well.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

After checking the 'Disable hardware graphics acceleration' box, and restarting the computer, it sped up from a 30-second to a 10-second delay.
Thanks.
I will have to do more tweaking to see if I can fix more.
Glad to help.

Thanks
