I'm working with a complex workbook that has hundreds of named ranges, most of which were named very cryptically by the original authors.  It's very difficult to manipulate and troubleshoot the workbook's formulas without having the author's intimate familiariry with the extensive list of names.  It's disruptive to my workflow to have to open the Name Manager to lookup each name - particularly since no other actions can occur within any instance of Excel until the Name Manager is closed.

Is there some way to export the list of names and the cell(s) to which they each refer from the Name Manager into a separate file so I can refer to them more easily?

Jan Karel Pieterse's free add-in Name Manager can do that.

Thank you Hans.  I'm exploring this option.

Interesting case, never worked with hundreds of names, max few dozens. Okay, perhaps @Jan Karel Pieterse knows how to survive in such case.
