I'm trying to take a list of photos in an imaging contest ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and comparing it with a list of the people who submitted the images and if they attended the award event or not.  They must be present to win.

  • If the person who's image was ranked 1st does not attend, then the person who's image ranked 2nd would be given 1st place.
  • If the person who's image was ranked 2nd also does not attend, then the person who's image ranked 3rd would be given 1st place.

I've been using an IF/AND nested function, but its not working.  How should I set up the formula for the results column so there is only one 1st place winner?
