I'm am having an issue with my Microsoft 365 Personal in my Excel Spreadsheet (version 16.36 - Microsoft Excel for Mac). I have always downloaded CSV files from a timekeeping app and then saved it as an Excel file. I have never had a problem with that until today. Now when I go into (click in) a cell my cursor gets "trapped" in that cell and I can't get out of the fx area of the spreadsheet. Essentially the program freezes and I have to quit. I can't go into any cells or the whole program ceases up.
Does anyone know what is happening here? I spoke to someone on the support chat and she said she has tried everything within her knowledge base and that I should post something here.
I really need to resolve this as the program is completely useless if I can't go into the cells
