To merge cells in a column in Excel, you can follow these steps:
- Select the cells you want to merge. In this case, select the cells in the highlighted column that you want to merge into one row.
- Click on the "Home" tab and then click on "Merge & Center" in the "Alignment" group.
- From the drop-down menu, select "Merge Cells".
This will merge the selected cells into one cell. Please note that when you merge cells, only the content from the upper-left cell will remain and the content of the other cells will be deleted.
If you want to combine the content of multiple cells into one cell without losing any data, you can use a formula such as “ =A1 & " " & A2 “ where A1 and A2 are the addresses of the cells you want to combine.
This formula concatenates the content of cells A1 and A2 with a space in between.
You can then copy the result of this formula and paste it as values into the merged cell.
