MAX(IF)

Hi,

I am practicing Latest Price with MAX/IF Formula on the following website: https://www.contextures.com/excelminmaxfunction.html. I created a table provided on website including Product: Pens, pencells..., Date:..., Price..

To find the latest pricing date for that product, I entered the following formula in cell B12, and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter:

• =MAX(IF($A$2:$A$9=A12, $B$2:$B$9))

I could not find August-1. I saw some digit.

Please help me for this problem.

Select the cell(s) with the formula, and set the number format to Short Date or Long Date.
