Manual calculation mode doesn't work for calculated table columns??

Copper Contributor
When I switch calculation mode to manual, it does not stop formulas in calculated table columns from recalculating. Is this expected? I feel like manual mode used to work for tables, but maybe I'm remembering wrong. Is there anyway to stop table formulas from recalculating? In particular, I have a table that is sourced from power query but has some calculated columns added to the result, and I would like to refresh the query without all formulas in this table (and a few other tables that reference this one) recalculating at the time of refresh.

Hi,
You can do it with the following rules:

1-Go to the File tab on the Ribbon.
2-Choose Options.
3-Choose Proofing.
4-Click on the AutoCorrect Options button.
5-Choose the AutoFormat As You Type tab (if not already selected).
6-Check the box that says Fill formulas in tables to create calculated columns.
7-Hit OK.
