Macro not recording

Can anyone help with why macros are not recording for me in Excel please?

The file was originally on onedrive but have also tried with a version on my PC and its still not working. 

I fill in the macro information and it just says 'unable to record' as below.

@NatalieBush Can you share the workbook, removing any sensitive data? Also, make sure the file is a .xlsm or .xlsb extension since these are macro-enabled workbooks

@NatalieBush Did you ever come right with your issue? I just installed the trial version of 365 and have the same issue.
