I don't think this will work in Excel if you use merged cells. It is possible with non-merged cells.

How can i do it with non-merged cells?

@MathiasPoulsen

Specify a fill color for the cells.

Set borders of the color you want:

Turn on Wrap Text, and set text direction to (for example) 60 degrees upwards:

Result:

I have attached a sample workbook.

That is exactly what im doing, just with the merged cells!
Whenever i do it with non-merged cells the text simply goes horizontally "above" the other cells

Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?

How about the attached version?

The attached version looks amazing! Now that i am trying to move all the cells down a couple of cells (from 1 to 5 ex) the text messes up. Know a fix for this?
