Linking two workbooks (one owned by another user on OneDrive)

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I am trying to link two workbooks - workbook A (owned by myself, stored locally) and workbook B (owned by another user, shared via OneDrive). Workbook B is updated as it is connected to another source.

I would like to treat workbook B as the master, so I cannot make any changes to it.

However, I would like to have workbook A have worksheets that are identical to the worksheets in workbook B, and have it refresh in the same way that workbook B refreshes - the only difference being that I can make changes in workbook A and they would remain after each update/refresh. Is this possible?

Work with worksheet data in OneDrive

* Knowing the Excel version and operating system would also be an advantage.

I would be happy to know if I could help.

I wish you continued success with Excel

Nope, you can't link workbooks for Excel Online. More exactly, that's limited functionality available for small portion of insiders.

I didn't mean anything else either...
