linking data between different worksheets

hello, i have been linking data between different excel worksheets, from a master document to several other, more specific documents. however, i have had to update and SAVE AS the master document along the way, so now i find that all the links in the other worksheets are to different versions of the master worksheet.

is there a way to preserve the links to the latest version of the master worksheet?

@Steve_Barnes_oz365 Links will automatically update if all the other workbooks are open at the time that you re-save the master, but that's probably not practical. Consider this. Keep the name of your master the same all the time, e.g. "Master_latest". Before you update it, create a copy and rename that one to e.g. "Master_v20" and the next time to "Master_v21". Then you have all your old versions sequentially numbered, plus one that is always the "latest" file.
