Left column hidden cannot be made visible again

Selecting A1 and using GoTo and A1 and format, unhide column does not work? Is there a fix?

In the Name Box, type A:B and then right click on any of the selected cells and choose Unhide. This will unhide the column A if hidden.

Try manually setting the column width.  It's possible the column is not hidden but set with a tiny width.
